About

My name is Nick Carnes and I am from Augusta, Georgia. I have been married to my wonderful wife, Nicki, for 7 years, and together we have two great sons, Gavin (5) and Tristan (18 mos) and a daughter on the way (Hailey).

My one passion is to serve my awesome Savior, Jesus Christ, and to passionately pursue him just as he passionately pursued me. I serve a huge God that cannot be contained by human understanding. I desire to daily grow more in love with Christ, to understand more clearly God’s wisdom and desire for my life. I seek to make my life count for Christ, using what God has blessed me with in order to bless him. Although I am naturally selfish…my prayer is that I seek to be a part of God’s plan versus seeking to be successful on my own.

I am a full time servant of Christ. I currently serve in the student ministry at my church (the church @ greenbrier) as a volunteer leader. I have served as a full time youth pastor, and for many years before that as a volunteer lead youth pastor, college ministry director, and in various other ministry positions. My prayer is that one day, God will lead me back into student ministry in a full time capacity.

God has allowed me to broaden my ministry opportunities over the past couple of years. I have the awesome opportunity to serve other youth pastors and youth ministries in the state of Georgia as a Purpose Driven Youth Ministry State Mentor. I am excited about any opportunity I have to share the love of Christ with others as well as to assist other youth leaders who are daily in the trenches fighting for the lives of students.
